The Port Discovery Children’s Museum gives kids and families a chance to play and learn together in a fun environment. The venue features both permanent and rotating exhibits for hands-on education and games. Permanent Exhibits at the Baltimore Children’s Museum include the ‘Wonders of Water’ where kids can build a fountain, listen to water chimes and play in a bubble hoop; ‘The Diner’ where kids can cook and serve their parents ‘50s style food while using their math skills; and Miss Perception’s Mystery House that will leave the whole family baffled as everyone gets to play detective and solve literary problems. The Port Discovery Children’s Museum is open year round, but closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The venue is designed for children from 2 – 10 years of age, but children of all ages can participate and get involved. Standard admission hours are 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 a.m. from October through May, and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
